Major US firm Davis Polk & Wardwell is to establish an English law practice in a bid to interrupt new markets from London. The move marks a brand new stage within the rivalry between Ny and London jurisdictions. The firm, which opened in London in 1973 but previously practised only Manhattan law, desires to develop its business in emerging markets including China and Brazil.
